We are looking for a capable, reliable, and safety-conscious Shunter
Driver to join our Yard team. This is a vital role that helps keep our
transport and warehouse operations running efficiently by ensuring trailers and
vehicles are moved safely and positioned correctly to meet operational demands.
As a Shunter Driver, you will be responsible for the safe
and efficient movement of vehicles, trailers, and equipment across our yard and
warehouse areas. You'll work closely with our Yard, Transport, Dispatch, and
Production teams to ensure trailers are available where and when they're
needed, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Safely
manoeuvre and park vehicles and trailers within the yard.
Position
trailers at loading bays to support inbound and outbound operations.
Carry
out daily vehicle and trailer safety checks, reporting defects in line
with Vehicle Off Road (VOR) procedures.
Complete
trailer movements safely and efficiently according to the daily
operational plan.
Couple
and uncouple trailers safely when required.
Maintain
accurate records of trailer and vehicle movements.
Communicate
effectively with the Yard Team, Packhouse Transport Desk, and Dispatch
colleagues.
Support
other yard activities when required, including Gatehouse, Banksman, or
Forklift duties (where trained).
Keep
the yard clean, organised, and safe.
Follow
all company Health & Safety, Food Safety, Hygiene, and site procedures
at all times.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is dependable, proactive, and

You'll ideally have:
A
valid Shunter Licence with relevant experience.
Previous
experience in a yard, warehouse, transport, or logistics environment.
A
strong understanding of health and safety procedures.

A
flexible approach and the ability to work under pressure during busy
periods.
The

What You'll Be Doing
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will support
the smooth running of our production and packing operations by ensuring
equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying
out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across site equipment
and machinery
Diagnosing
and resolving electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively
Supporting
continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve
equipment reliability
Working
closely with production teams to plan maintenance activities and minimise
operational disruption
Assisting
with equipment upgrades, installations and commissioning projects
Maintaining
accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems
Managing
critical spare parts inventory and sourcing replacement components when
