Summer kebabs.

As the weather is warming up and the evenings are lighter, time to dust off your BBQ and relax with family and friends. Apples and pears are both great fruits to BBQ - try them with a variety of different sweet and savoury flavours, or keep it simple like the recipe below.

 

Ingredients:

2 British Royal Gala apples cored and sliced

2 British Conference Pears cored and sliced

Parmesan cubed

Method:

Remove the cores and slice the apples and pears. Cut the parmesan into small cubes. Place a piece of each onto a kebab stick and brush with a thin coat of runny honey and then griddle until they soften, turning as needed to ensure even colour. Enjoy with a salad, cous cous or serve in warmed pitta bread.
