Harvest 2017 begins.

Slightly earlier than usual here in the Weald of Kent, we have begun harvesting, (16 August) at Griffins Farm, Sutton Valance and we will all be relieved to get this year’s crop into cold stores and then out directly to customers.

2017 has been a very challenging year for growers thanks to the Great British weather. We had late, hard frosts in spring, followed by a very long dry and warm spell and then heavy rain in late July/Early August, which brings with it the threat of hail.

We hope you enjoy our delicious British apples and pears for many months to come.
